Foreign publishers purchase rights to 24 Persian books at Eurasian fair

TEHRAN – The Pol Literary and Translation Agency, a Tehran-based institution that translates Iranian books and presents Persian language publications around the world, has sold rights to 24 books at the third edition of the 3rd Eurasian Book Fair in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Foliant from Kazakhstan, Zangak from Armenia, Yandex from Uzbekistan and Noshir from Tajikistan are the publishers that have acquired the rights to the books, the agency told the Persian service of MNA on Monday.

The report didn’t refer to the titles of the books.

The agency has also entered into negotiations with the Renmin University Press from China, Damla from Turkey and several other publishers from Kirgizia, India and Russia to sell rights to more books from Persian publishing houses.

The Eurasian Book Fair was held at the Kazakh capital from April 25 to 28.
